Sun protection
Posted on Jun 11, 2008Skin cancer can have its start in childhood. Avoid excessive exposure to the sun. Protect your children with hats, clothing and sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) of 15 or more. Reapply sunscreen frequently for maximum effectiveness, and don't forget their ears, neck, lips and nose. If a child gets a severe sunburn with pain and chills, call your pediatrician. Severe sunburn can be serious.
